Welcome to Hambrook School from the Headteacher.
I am very excited to be part of this amazing, fun and caring school where the students are at the heart of everything we do.
Set in the former Adult Education Centre in Burgess Hill we are continuing a legacy of learning by preparing the next generation of children and young adults to feel confident and independent in their own lives.
We work hard to provide a variety of bespoke learning opportunities in smaller class environments catered to the student’s individual needs.
We do this with the support of specialist practitioners including teachers, clinicians, support staff, outside agencies, colleges and other education providers with one aim in mind:
Provide a safe and enjoyable learning experience eradicating learnt helplessness while empowering children and young adults to be Safe, Enjoy their Learning and Have Fun so that they can be confident, independent citizens in the world.
The curriculum here is robust, engaging and targeted. We want students to embrace a hands-on approach to learning, letting them investigate and experience activities and curricula that will inspire them to find out more.
We will guide and advocate achievement by nurturing aspirational goals, establish a love of reading and discovery that will enhance their learning journey. We believe that our students deserve the best as they start their own education expedition with us and we will work in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local communities to achieve that goal.
Come and visit us and find out what we can do for you.
